Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from the University of Florida; M.B.A. in Marketing Strategy from University of South Florida; M.A. in Cognitive Media Effects from University of South Florida; J.D. degree in Litigation and Estate Planning from Barry University. Experience

I guest-lectured for a college-level research and media effects class, and in a business law class in law school. I enjoy helping students learn new concepts and if needed, I have the ability to explain things in different ways until it "clicks" for the student. I have tutored on a volunteer basis for students who need extra attention. I can tutor in Reading Comprehension, most Math, Sciences, Spelling and Writing subjects for K-8th grade; Essay Writing; LSAT or GRE Essay Writing; Study Skills; Business or Legal subjects; and Vocabulary.

Hobbies

I am a dog-lover and I have a Yellow Lab puppy that I am constantly photographing. I am also a bird watcher and can tell you many fun and interesting facts about birds and their behaviors. I have a daughter in second grade that loves to read and do math with me; she also takes piano, sings and dance, is a wonderful artist and aspiring scientist, and is also a Brownie in Girl Scouts. As you can see from the degrees I attained, I love learning and believe that anyone can excel in school if given the right attitude and appreciation for it. Also, the "right" teacher helps. For children, I believe in a warm and friendly teaching environment that emphasizes positive rewards. I also believe in sticking to the task and working uninterrupted. I think learning should be both fun as well as taken seriously. If we make it fun, it will evolve from a "chore" to a "joy."
